Terms of service

Last updated August 4, 2026. These terms govern your use of Sofenx AI Store Auditor, operated by Sofenx. By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms on behalf of the Shopify merchant you represent.

The service

The app reviews available store and storefront information and presents prioritized findings, scores, evidence, and suggested improvements. You must maintain an eligible Shopify store, grant the permissions shown during installation, and keep your store information accurate enough for the app to operate.

Audit and AI guidance

Scores, impact percentages, and revenue opportunities are prioritization scenarios—not promises, forecasts, or guarantees. AI-assisted text can be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for validating recommendations, generated copy, product facts, accessibility, regulatory obligations, and legal claims before publishing or relying on them. The service is not legal, financial, accessibility-certification, or professional consulting advice.

Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, transmit malware or secrets, or use generated copy to create fake reviews, false urgency, unsupported health or performance claims, deceptive pricing, or content that violates Shopify policies or applicable law.

Plans and billing

Free includes one audit every 30 days. Starter, Growth, and Pro are recurring 30-day subscriptions billed through Shopify. First-time paid subscribers receive a 7-day trial with one audit total across the trial, including an audit already used before upgrading. Paid plan allowances apply after the trial. Failed audits do not use an allowance.

Paid plan changes require approval in Shopify and may be prorated under Shopify’s billing rules. You can downgrade to Free from the app’s Plans page or stop future charges by uninstalling the app. Downgrading to Free ends paid access immediately and does not issue a prorated refund. Except where required by law, fees already charged are non-refundable.

Availability and changes

We may maintain, update, limit, or discontinue features to protect security, comply with platform requirements, or improve the service. We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may suspend access for misuse, security risk, nonpayment, or violation of these terms.

Ownership

You retain ownership of your store content. Sofenx and its licensors retain ownership of the app, its software, design, scoring methods, documentation, and branding. You grant us the limited right to process store content only as needed to provide, secure, and support the service.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. Sofenx disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, Sofenx will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from the service. Sofenx’s aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the fees you paid for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

You may terminate these terms by uninstalling the app. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and payment obligations already incurred—will survive.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service or applicable requirements change. Continued use after an effective update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. If you do not agree, stop using and uninstall the app.
